Truth , propaganda; what's the news?

How did the Beeb get this so wrong?

...and no I won't accept glib over-used disclaimers that 'it could not be independently verified' - since when has been ok to substitute quality journalistic reporting with random unsubstantiated grabs from the internet?

Shame on you, BBC, you're nothing more than a bunch of cheer leaders for Team NATO

  1. The BBC and the ABC are both funded by the government of respective countries and as journalistic standards slips, it is not surprising that broadcasters from both organisations increasing toe the company line. Hence it is increasingly difficult to distinguish reports from the BBC/ABC are facts or state propaganda. As Orwell states: "In the age of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act".

  2. Peng, you're right (& so's Orwell)
