"Oh to be in England now that April's there"
In the maternal line of my family, I am the first woman in four generations to raise her children to adulthood with their father alongside her.
My mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were not so lucky.
When you’re missing a family member, who cares about the honour to die for your country?
I hate ANZAC Day
& I hate Gallipoli
& I hate the annual military grooming
& I hate always getting ready for somebody else's battle
& I also hate the RAF
& I wish I'd had longer with my father
